On the Strip the easiest sites to see for free are the fountain shows and the Conservatory at the Bellagio, the erupting volcano at the Mirage, the Sirens of TI at the Treasure Island, the statue shows at Caesar's Palace, the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand, the Masquerade Village Show in the Sky at the Rio, the Streetmosphere artists at the Venetian and the flamingo Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo.
Another novel free attraction in Las Vegas is the CBS Television City Research Center at the MGM Grand. This is your chance to give your opinion on which shows should be on the air or canned. Great for TV junkies. Screenings run every half hour from 10am-9pm. The Venetian has a similar attraction in their Preview Studios where you can participate in product testing, food tasting, TV shows, movie trailers and even slot machines. You will sit in a screening room and give your opinion with a handheld device. Open everyday from 11am-9pm.

Off the Strip, another great free attraction in Las Vegas is Ethel M's Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden. It's only 7 miles from the Strip. You'll get an in-depth look and taste at how all these gourmet sweets are made. Burn off the sugar calories strolling through the Botanical Cactus Garden afterwards. Open 8:30am-7pm daily. Over 700,000 people visit here every year.
Watch the fish being fed or the mermaid show in the 117,000 gallon salt water aquarium at the Silverton Hotel. It's south of the Strip on Blue Diamond Rd. You can ask the marine biologists questions about the sharks, stingrays or the other 5,000 fish in this unique octagonal aquarium.

M&M World has four floors of candy and fun activities. It is located right next to MGM Grand on the Strip in Las Vegas.
The Fremont Street Experience downtown will keep you busy for hours. Street entertainers perform regularly in this pedestrian-only mall. Kiosks sell Vegas souvenirs. From dusk to midnight the most amazing light and sound show will rock you every hour. 90 feet above the street in a $70 million LCD canopy, 12 million lights are used to display the various shows. At Lucky Vegas celebrate with vintage Vegas celebrities like Frank and Dean.
