Wine Walk in the District
Written by mike on April 13, 2008 – 3:23 pm -The crowds came to the District at Green Valley Ranch, next to Green Valley Casino last night to pay to sample the wines. $30 dollars for 1 person. $50 for 2. The event will be held 6 times, April through September. There was a live band, 20 wine stations, raffle and long lines of thirsty drinkers talking up a storm.

April 12 Event was one of the best because the temperature was cool and people turned out by the thousands. You could tell who they were by the glass in their hand.

Bands played cool fusion jazz. Dogs walked next to their owners. And kids played everywhere. The grass in the park had been removed as part of new water conservation, and a soft rubber surface installed which had a strong odor.
Still, the wine poured on.

People were clearly enjoying themselves in the short-sleeve weather.

Cars were stars as new models from DB Aston Martin, Jaguar and Porsche were on hand. Interestingly Jaguar and Land Rover were recently purchased by the Chinese companies Tata and Nanjing Automotive.
