Huge discounts on top shows in Vegas for locals only

Written by Jason on November 29, 2008 – 9:58 am -

We have secured a huge discount on Las Vegas best shows for our readers! As long as you have a Nevada ID when you pick up your tickets you can buy up to 6 for only $49 each until February 28, 2009. Just call 702-531-3850 and tell them the word “LOCAL” as the code. The three shows participating are 1) Mystere: one of the oldest and most established shows that is family friendly as long as you don’t mind both guys and girls running around doing stunts in g-strings, 2) KA: absolutely one of the best theaters and best shows EVER in Vegas with a stage production that is absolutely stunning, 3) Zumanity: the nastiest show in Vegas sold as a Cirque Du Soleil show. It is definently not for everyone but instead built for those more interested in seeing grotesque amounts of nudity, profanity, and vulgarity pawned off as high art in a glamourous setting .

China Town in Las Vegas

Written by kelly on November 25, 2008 – 4:47 pm -

Only one mile west from the Las Vegas Boulevard on Spring Mountain is our China Town. It’s not like San Francisco’s by any measure but it’s all ours and I am happy as heck about it. The Plaza is marked by a traditional Chinese arch and the Tong Dynasty architecture. My favorite is the 99 Ranch Market because they have exotic produce (Jack Fruit, Jujube) fresh seafood, and all the noodles, spices and sauces you can imagine. I love to stop and get a Boba tea too, so much fun. You really have to get out and walk the plaza, both levels, to see all of the unique stores and restaurants. We like to eat at a different restaurant each time. Jason has a hard time with food hanging in the windows so I have to rush him through the front door at a couple of restaurants. That’s authenticity for you.

Grand Lux Cafe in Venetian Hotel Las Vegas

Written by Jason on November 22, 2008 – 12:22 pm -

Grand Lux serves huge portions from a giant well priced menu of entrees featuring specialty drinks, salads and meals like Indochine shrimp and Chicken with spicy curry and peanut sauces fused together. Delicious and big enough to share unless you are starving or a big boy. Huge restaurant means hardly ever waiting for a table. Bathrooms are just outside so this is a little hassle but well worth the great ambience though it can get busy and loud. Think of this place as an unscale Cheesecake factory so you better ask for a 4 topper or they will seat you in a two seat table jammed up to others which can often be uncomfortable. Overall highly rated for the price, selection and portion size along with being in one of the best casinos in town, the Venetian. You can often get food delivered to the poker table too so you can eat good while you play. For dessert order the dozen hot baked pecan chocolate chip cookies as they are delivered warm and baked to order! Click to see other restaurant reviews in Vegas.
