Epicurean Affair Flamingo Casino
Written by mike on May 2, 2008 – 9:21 pm -
Wow, I went to Epicurean Affair last night, held in the Flamingo Casino and Hotel pool area. Classy, upscale with top restaurants like Guy Savoy from Caesar’s and Andre’s, which wins top restaurant by readers of the RJ Review Newspaper every year, year after year. By the time I got to Andre’s, yep, you guessed it, everything was gone.

Super friendly French super Chef Guy Savoy, warm greeting hungry
patrons at this year’s Epicurean Affair at Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

Guy hugs my good friend Josette LeBlond of Josette’s Bistro in a show
of French comraderie.
Everyone was enjoying themselves. I met a dancer, Anna, I knew from the Aladdin V-theater at the Aladdin Casino, now Planet Hollwood Casino and Hotel or simply, PH. Anna took a moment out to pose with me. This is Vegas. I am trying to look sheepish. My friend was an Olympian athlete, born in Argentina! Boy can she stretch out. When those long, long legs unfold, the audience ducks!

Note: hands to myself. Anna had a pretty ferocious grip on my arm actually.
On her leg, it reads, Amore. Vegas is pretty creative about advertising.

Strutting her stuff high above everyone’s head. This act is all about trust.
For a gymnast, Anna has really great, long lines and fine feet. Considering she is
almost 6 feet tall, her partner is STRONG. It takes place everyday at the Miracle
Mile Mall, formerly the Desert Passage of Aladdin Casino, which is now Planet Hollywood.
My other half, cabaret performer Kiki Kalor was busy sucking down drinks with her gambing dog - Lucky.

Kiki Kalor teaches “Lucky” how to count olives in the world’s largest
martini. You can get your own ‘Lucky’ at Kiki’s store.

Laura is the Official Showgirl of Flamingo Hotel and Casino, posing her
with Kiki and Lucky. Super-friendly Laura spends everyday as a Showgirl.
I promise a more in-depth report of what that entails. Showgirls are an
important part of the Las Vegas landscape. Often seen, not well understood.
Finally as the event was coming to a close, Kiki and I heard a rustle in the bushes. It was none other than famous Flamingo headliner comedian, George Wallace. Poor guy, he is still limping from his injury to his foot at the Bellagio. He knows Kiki, and they chatted it up. George lives at the Flamingo, and his show was to start in 15 minutes. He was just coming out of the Chapel, actually. What he told Kiki was amazing. George said even though he had lived at Flamingo for 5 years, he had never been in the pool area! This was his first time.

George is like many performers in Vegas, as giving off-stage as he is on
it. He stopped to chat with us, even though his show started in 15 minutes.
I would sure love to hear his dialogue in the chapel between him and his
maker.

Still flipping through the air. These dancers are stronger than steel, and
are covered with muscles from head to toe, while still being graceful and
sexy. Note guy on right, “If only the folks back home could see what I see,”
he seems to be thinking.

She’s from Russia, what do you think? Eyes like a cat, body of a leopard,
and hair down to there. Ms Soviet had it all. She could even touch her
forehead to her heels.
