Joshua Tree National Forest from Vegas

When staying in Vegas long term sometimes you want a break from the casino scene. This awesome cheap to camp in park is only 4 hours from Vegas. We traveled west on I-15 in November of 2008 and then exited on Cima Road in California. I love to take back roads every chance I get. This is the boundary for the Mojave National Preserve and the trees here in the preserve were massive and there were thousands of them. Huge Joshua Tree pictured is over 400 years old. You have got to see these plants thriving in such a harsh climate out in the middle of the wild deserts!

Adventuredome Circus Circus Las Vegas

Adventuredome Circus Circus in Las Vegas is covered by a five-and-a-half acre pink glass dome. But this is no little girly theme park. This place is packed full of lightning-fast rides and fast-action laser tag. The fastest ride inside the Dome is the Sling Shot. In this ride you can experience 4 Gs shooting towards the pink ceiling and 1 G going back down to the ground. Visit Adventuredome for complete details.

Robbie Knievel will jump Mirage Volcano on New Years Eve

Robbie Knievel son of famous Evil Knievel is back on track for a huge record breaking publicity stunt. Dangerous, high profile and entirely exciting direct strip entertainment. The jump is scheduled for 6 pm on New Years Eve an the Mirage hotel and casino Las Vegas. It will be dark and he’s jumping the new bigger, wilder, brighter and louder Mirage volcano which erupts with real fire and brimstone to the excited screams of thousand every week. They will also be broadcasting this on TV on Fox for those unable to make it. His father Evil Knievel tried to jump the smaller volcano 40 years ago and hurt himself real bad ending up in coma with over 30 bones broken throughout his body.

Carrot Top Las Vegas show review

Saw Carrot Tops show at the Luxor the other night and had a lot of fun. Sat on the back row but because the theatre is so elevated there was no problem seeing over the heads of those in front of us. Scott Thompson was my former high school buddy from Florida and I am glad to see he is doing having performed in Vegas for over 14 years now. The show does have some profanity and vulgarity with the use of “sex toys” in a couple skits but that is not the focus of the show. Most of his show incorporates good clean prop comedy where Carrot Top invents new creations to baffle, and bewilder you with laughter. Many were steady laughing with some in the audience laughing so hard they were crying. do NOT be late as the preshow videos of animals doing wacky stuff is fantastic. For the price I recommend Carrot Top over all other comedic routines in Vegas right now.

Wet Republic

Las Vegas has just launched it’s newest soon to be sunny fun pool scene with the release of Wet Republic at MGM Grand. It is an adult only party zone for people like me that want to have a mojito under a warm sky while relaxing outside in a smoke free super clean water filled wonderland. Wet Republic is over 50,000 square feet of fun, saltwater pools plus waterfalls and wet decks where you can sit in ankle deep water and do nothing but live.

Wet Republic has daybeds you can rent, typical lounge chairs, private elevated jacuzzis, bungalows and a great convertable dance floor. Drinks are served from the moment they open by world class beauties, professional and upbeat. Get their now as once it gets crowded things can be more expensive. By Jason
