Continental Airlines Cuts 3000 Jobs

Continental is cutting 6.5% of its workforce, or about 3000 jobs today in an effort to counteract the high prices of gas. I guess airplanes won’t be sitting on the runways burning gas anymore.

Larry Kellner, Continental’s chief executive, says the airline industry is in a crisis.

Expect more crowded flights and more extra charges as Continental retires 67 older planes. Try to get lower prices before they rise.  Book now.
