New food court at The Orleans Hotel

Written by kelly on August 13, 2009 – 1:12 pm -

For a family friendly hotel we recommend The Orleans Hotel and Casino on Tropicana. It has a lot to offer locals and guests alike. They recently remodeled a portion of the casino to add a new food court with some excellent choices. After the movies my husband was in the mood for pizza and I wanted something a little substantial myself.  So he got his pizza and some delicious seasoned potato chunks at Sbarro and I went to Fuddruckers. I ordered the Buffalo Burger and I was shocked at the size but that didn’t stop me from eating the entire burger. The prices aren’t any different than any other food court either. There is also a Subway and Baskin-Robbins too. In other parts of The Orleans you will find a Seattle Coffee and a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Of course they have their own restaurants as well which we have found them all to be priced well with quality ingredients and filling portion sizes.

Spacious pool deck at The Orleans Hotel

Written by kelly on August 11, 2009 – 12:28 pm -

The pool deck at The Orleans Hotel has plenty of square footage so that you are not crowded up next to a stranger while getting in and out of your lounge chair while sun bathing. This is also a very family friendly pool scene unlike some of the other specialty pools at the more famous Strip hotels. There are different levels of sundecks like next to the bar, at the whirlpool and around the swimming pool. And like any other Las Vegas hotel you can rent a private cabana for your group of friends or family. The whirlpool is a really large round hot tub with an island in the middle. The pool is big enough to swim some laps casually when it’s not too crowded. You can order food and drinks while sunning and large plush towels are available to the guests. Palm trees and tropical foliage adorn the area which helps you feel more relaxed while on your Vegas vacation.

Stratosphere Las Vegas

Written by sarah on August 8, 2009 – 11:16 am -

At 1,149 feet, the tower happens to be the tallest observation tower in America at the Stratosphere Las Vegas. This hotel is located at the North part of the Strip. Because of its location there are good deals on the rooms and you will save extra money, which you can use on a rental car to get around or a cab. It pays to dress up. If it’s a slow day at the Stratosphere, and you are nicely dressed, they sometimes comp you at the ticket counter for the top of the tower! There is a ride at the TOP of the hotel and its amazing! If youre a thrill seeker, seek out the Stratosphere!
