Written by sarah on July 4, 2009 – 9:24 am -New York New York Las Vegas is a neat hotel! First of all, there is a roller coaster that runs through the place, now that’s impressive! The rooms at the New York New York are priced very good but if you’re a light sleeper be sure to ask for a room on the highest floor, because the roller coaster can be heard a little bit when going through the casino. The rooms are nice and artsy and you will be comfortable, however there are no coffee makers in the rooms at this hotel so be sure to come prepared if you’re a coffee drinker.

Fireworks on the Strip will be experienced in a whole new way as well. because they are having LIVE fireworks for the first time under the canopy. Don’t get burned as it will be shear mayhem!

Cirque du Soleil locals appreciation discount
Written by kelly on December 4, 2008 – 3:11 pm -When you think of Las Vegas shows you think of Cirque du Soleil. Even locals talk about going or seeing a Cirque show. And why not, Cirque shows are awesome and leave you saying that you have to see the show again. And, here’s your chance to see a show again or for the first time. Cirque du Soleil is offering a Locals Appreciation from November 1 thru February 28, 2009. The shows available for the locals discount are Mystere, Zumanity and KA. The price is a killer deal of $49 which is a 60% discount. You have to show a valid Nevada ID. I called and they confirmed you don’t have to live in the city of Las Vegas but you can live anywhere in the state of Nevada for this locals appreciation discount. And to get the discount you have to call and talk to someone, the offer is not valid online. Now you probably won’t get the best seats in the house but if you go on a weekday early show you can probably get a really, really good seat. Don’t make up excuses that money is tight and then you spend a gazillion dollars on stupid Christmas gifts. Instead, go to one or all three shows and call it good – make that your Christmas gift to your spouse and children. They will never ever forget it.

Robbie Knievel will jump Mirage Volcano on New Years Eve

Dangerous, high profile and entirely exciting direct strip entertainment. The jump is scheduled for 6 pm on New Years Eve an the Mirage hotel and casino Las Vegas. It will be dark and he’s jumping the new bigger, wilder, brighter and louder Mirage volcano which erupts with real fire and brimstone to the excited screams of thousand every week. They will also be broadcasting this on TV on Fox for those unable to make it. His father Evil Knievel tried to jump the smaller volcano 40 years ago and hurt himself real bad ending up in coma with over 30 bones broken throughout his body.
