Venetian Poker Room Overview
Written by Jason on November 4, 2008 – 10:14 am -I visited the Venetian Casino to do a review of the poker room and had my best poker tournament night ever when I won first place and took home $3100 for a $120 buyin beating out 110 people. This nightly tournament features 20 minute blinds until the final table then 30 minute blinds with starting chip count of 7500. Super clean no smoking room. Super busy with two or more tournaments going on simultaneously plus many cash games and one table poker satellite tournaments. Absolutely one of the best poker rooms in Vegas, if not the best. There are over 10 massage girls walking around from the spa next door giving back rubs while you play for $2 a minute and at least 20 people from two different restaurants taking food orders and delivering the food right to your poker table. Buyins range from $80 to $1020 in the tournaments. I have seen many poker celebrities playing here regularly including the IceMan. Game schedules change constantly so use my casino las vegas poker room phone number list to call ahead of time. Some Venetian poker tournaments sell out.

Bionion’s $50,000 tournament in new poker room
Written by kelly on October 28, 2008 – 3:20 pm -Bionion’s Gambling Hall in downtown Las Vegas will hold their $50,000 monthly Freeroll Tournament this December in their newly renovated poker room. Now I know a lot of people who want a chance at this $50,000 so this is what I found out. You can actually win a seat in this tournament by either winning a daily tournament or by earning 25 hours of live poker play but it has to be in the month of November only. Get ready to put in some hours at the poker tables. And, even if you don’t get a seat for the Freeroll Tournament you do earn $2 in comps per hour of live poker play, so you will either have a full belly or a full wallet.

Indians win big in gambling revenues and casino wars
Written by Jason on October 23, 2008 – 9:19 am -I am told I am of French and American Indian descent. I cannot be part of the Tribal or Indian Nation business scene in the United States because I am a half breed. Still I am very happy to discover after some research that after 20 years of working the Indian Gaming Regualtory Act the Indians have now raked more money than Las Vegas and Atlantic City. My cool land wanderering Earth loving ancestors collected over 25 billion US dollars last year whereas Nevada brought in less than 13 billion and Atlantic City earned less than 5 million. I think the traveling all over and enjoying the world instead of hunkering down and dying at work is a trait I got from my Indian relatives and from the adventurous nature of the early French Explorers.

Carrot Top Las Vegas show review
Written by Jason on October 18, 2008 – 11:38 am -Saw Carrot Tops show at the Luxor the other night and had a lot of fun. Sat on the back row but because the theatre is so elevated there was no problem seeing over the heads of those in front of us. Scott Thompson was my former high school buddy from Florida and I am glad to see he is doing having performed in Vegas for over 14 years now. The show does have some profanity and vulgarity with the use of “sex toys” in a couple skits but that is not the focus of the show. Most of his show incorporates good clean prop comedy where Carrot Top invents new creations to baffle, and bewilder you with laughter. Many were steady laughing with some in the audience laughing so hard they were crying. do NOT be late as the preshow videos of animals doing wacky stuff is fantastic. For the price I recommend Carrot Top over all other comedic routines in Vegas right now.
