Ballys Hotel And Casino Las
Vegas
Bally's Hotel and Casino Las Vegas is one of several Harrah's properties. It is connected by an indoor walkway to the Paris casino on
the Strip Las Vegas. When you're on the Strip
you can recognize it by its characteristic neon walkway leading into the hotel. As
you glide in, you're romanced to songs by the Rat Pack. Another way to get to
Bally's is with the monorail which conveniently stops here. It will take you to the
MGM Grand to the south and all the way up to the Sahara to
the north. If you're taking a taxi from McCarran
International Airport, it's only 3 miles away.

For anyone driving in, I
recommend the complimentary Valet parking. It's so much easier to be in the front
of the casino with your suitcases rather than trying to navigate the parking garage
and the casino with heavy loads. Nothing beats its location. Being in the middle of
the strip, you can walk across the street to the Bellagio,
and Caesar's Palace, or walk south to the New York-New York
and the "Tropicana." Rooms are clean and comfortable at Bally's Hotel
and Casino Las Vegas. The Deluxe rooms are over 450 square feet with the standard
in-room amenities including Internet access. The larger Grand Suites come with a refrigerator,
a wet bar and a whirlpool tub. I recommend staying in the North Tower as it is newer
with great views. Check-out is convenient through your TV. Maid service and staff
are prompt and helpful. If you need a quick convenience store to stock up your
refrigerator, simply cross Flamingo road and you will see one next to Battista's Hole
in the Wall restaurant. In Bally's, The Sidewalk Café is open 24 hours on Friday
and Saturday only. But during the week you can easily walk to the connecting Paris
and go to Le Café Île St. Louis, another 24 hour diner.
Ballys Hotel and Casino Las Vegas has a people mover that takes you directly from the hotel to the Strip.
If you're
lucky to be at Bally's on a Sunday, you must try their Sterling Brunch. It's only
open on Sundays and is an extravagant but pricey steakhouse. Start with mimosas, caviar,
and lobster or beef tenderloin. The Big Kitchen Buffet is very popular in the South
Tower and open everyday for brunch and dinner. After lunch you may want to
sip on a cocktail and relax near to the pool or whirlpool at Bally's Hotel and Casino
Las Vegas. Be warned that the pool and poolside restaurant are seasonal. So during
the cold months you'll have to visit the Paris pool. If you want to try your
luck at the slots or table games, Bally's has 67,000 square feet of gaming area including
a poker section and Race and Sports Book venue. Slot machines seem a little tight
but any vouchers you cash out at Bally's will also apply at the Paris. Dealers are
very polite and drink service is quick. It's hard to go wrong with so many amenities
at Bally's Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.
