Cannery Hotel and Casino Las Vegas is a themed casino in the style of a post-war 1940's canning factory. You will need a car when visiting, as it is not on the Strip. It's a great place to stay if you're doing business at Nellis Air Force Base or you can't find a hotel room downtown or on the Strip. Room rates are reasonable. Parking is free.

The hotel is located off the Strip in North Vegas. It is not far from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Nellis Air Force Base. It's roughly 20 minutes from McCarran International Airport and the resort hotels on the Strip like the Sahara, Stratosphere, and Hilton. To get to the "Golden Nugget" or the Fitz downtown, you would need to get on the 95 south, exit on the Main Street ramp.

The Cannery Hotel and Casino Las Vegas has over 200 rooms with 24 hour room service. Rooms are large and clean. They are modern, nicely furnished and comfortable. There's also a laundry room if you are staying longer than a couple of days and need to clean your clothes. When you stay at the Cannery, you receive preferred rates to the Aliante Golf Course Las Vegas.

Waverly's Steakhouse seats 125 in a 40's style wood-paneling décor. For a great meal, order barbequed baby back ribs with collard greens, baked beans and cheesy jalapeno spoon bread. The Cannery Row Buffet offers International food selections. It's very well priced and there is a Champagne brunch on Saturdays. You'll want to try the Mexican beer and margaritas at the Casa Cocina. Victory's Café has a patriotic décor and is open 24 hours. When you're in the mood for pasta go to Vino's Ristorante and Deli.

The Club is the entertainment center at the Cannery Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. It can seat 3,000 and is booked with comedians, well-known singers, bands, tribute shows, recording artists, orchestras, festivals and much more. The Cannery also has 14 Galaxie Theaters with all the latest movies. Great venues for the family.

There is a lot of action at The Cannery. It has over 1,700 slot and video poker machines with denominations from $.01 to $5. Progressives include over 1,000 Ticket-in and Ticket-out games. There are over 20 table games with single, double and six-deck blackjack. Minimum bets are low. Weekly blackjack tournaments award up to $20,000 in cash prizes. Other favorite games include roulette, Pai-Gow and 3/5/7 poker.

There's also a non-smoking poker room with 12 tables in 3,000 square feet. The Race and Sports Book is plush, with over 130 seats. It has higher ceilings for cleaner air, wide handicap workstations and a VIP section. Bingo is big at the Cannery, so it starts early in the morning and continues until the night at the Cannery Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.
