Insider Secret - If you want to get away from the hustle bustle of the casino and have a quiet sit-down dinner, I recommend the Regale Italian Eatery. Order from the family menu and everyone can share the large portions. Won't break the bank either. |
Dick's Last Resort is a national chain that's casual in atmosphere and promotes rowdiness from its clientele. Waiters and waitresses are sassy and they'll even make you paper hats to go along with the fun. Finger food comes in buckets, portions are huge and cocktails are enormous. Try the 9 daiquiri flavors.
Their specialties include messy ribs, Macho Nachos, succulent crab legs and dripping honey-roasted chicken. Be prepared to have your 5 minutes of fame on stage when you're called to sing or dance with live musicians. It's a let-loose environment that's perfect for groups that want to be rowdy in Vegas. Open for lunch, dinner and late-night eating.
Another fun place to eat at the Excalibur Hotel Casino Las Vegas is the very affordable Roundtable Buffet open from 7am to 10pm. It's decorated in a Medieval setting and can seat hordes of people. There's a Chinese and Mexican station as well as carving station but the food is average at best. Nothing like the Las Vegas Bellagio buffet or the made-to-order crepes at the Paris Hotel Las Vegas Review buffet or the well-known Seafood buffet at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. It is very clean though and champagne brunch is served on Sundays.
For fine dining, make a reservation at the Steakhouse at Camelot. People drive all the way from California just to dine on the double lobster tails or the Kobe rib eye steak. Top off your dinner with a tasty Banana's Foster. The staff is very attentive and a pianist sets the mood for a romantic experience during dinner. The cuisine is comparable to the Palm restaurant at Caesar's Palace.
The Excalibur Hotel Casino Las Vegas offers casual dining 24 hours in the Sherwood Forest Café. It features an extensive menu of burgers, Chinese specialties, sandwiches, salads and breakfast anytime. Try the blackened chicken sandwich or the meatball sub. It's located on the main floor next to the registration desk. The prices are easier on the pocket book here than at Planet Dailies, another 24 hour café at Planet Hollywood, formerly the Aladdin.
The Regale Italian Eatery is a quiet sit-down place and perfect if you want to get away from the hustle bustle of the casino. It has 3 different menus: the Junior menu, the family menu with large portions so everyone can share and a full Italian menu with pastas, pizzas, seafood and much more. Even vegetarians can find something they like here. I suggest the Shrimp Scampi or the Fettuccini Alfredo. You certainly won't go hungry at the Excalibur Hotel Casino Las Vegas.
