Rooms are nice, clean and newly renovated, plan to relax in their beds. A minor point, but a real luxury in today's hotels, is being able to open your window and get fresh air into your room. Management and daily staff are helpful and cordial. Bathrooms are a little small. Don't expect a luxury resort like Caesar's Palace or the Bellagio on the Strip. For total relaxation while you eat go to Second Street Grill. With oversized chairs and beautiful wood paneling it creates an intimate ambiance. You won't be disappointed with their 12 oz T-bone steak or sizzling spinach salad.

Be one of 19 million visitors who are entertained by the Fremont Street Experience, which is a 5 block area, zoned for pedestrians only. 90 feet above this mall is the world's largest LED screen which lights up on the hour starting at dusk using 12 million lights and 550,000 watts of sound for a free music and light show. You'll have access to a variety of kiosks, free concerts and street musicians. Casinos like the Fitz and the Golden Nugget offer nightly shows in their showrooms.

The Fremont has 32,000 square feet of gaming and slots. That includes video poker and keno machines, craps, live keno and table games like blackjack, Pai-Gow, Let it Ride, 3 card poker and more. If you are lucky enough to be in the hot seat at the Fremont you will win $500 of free slot play on Tuesday nights.
