MGM Hotel and Casino Las Vegas is huge, impressive and grand like its name - MGM Grand. To date, it boasts the world's largest hotel structure with over 5,000 rooms plus over 500 suites in the Signature Grand Towers, over 50 lofts in the Skylofts and 29 villas in the Mansion. This means you should be prepared for plenty of walking. Give yourself enough time to get to your destination in the casino.

The MGM is conveniently located on the Strip. It's less than 3 miles from McCarran International Airport. MGM Hotel and Casino Las Vegas is located on the corner of Tropicana and the boulevard on the Strip. It's an easy walk over the sky bridge to the Tropicana to the south and the New York, New York to the west. It's not a far walk to Hooters Hotel. The monorail starts at the MGM Grand and travels up the Strip to the Sahara with a well-situated stop at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Like the rest of the casino, rooms and suites are very clean, luxurious and spacious. Beds are super comfortable and linens are soft. I recommend the West Wing because it is very modern. Some rooms can be a little dark with tinted windows but that could be good for sleeping. Amenities include flat screen TVs and DVD players. Bathrooms are nice with large walk-in showers and TVs in the bathroom as well. The hotel is not on the level of the newer Wynn Hotel Las Vegas but rooms are very comfortable.

The Hollywood Suites at the MGM Hotel and Casino Las Vegas are also large with an additional living room area and TV, a large safe, a small fridge, a dining room table and Internet access. The Italian marble bathroom has his and her sinks as well as separate shower and bath. Be warned - there are no coffee makers in the room so do what some people do and bring your own coffee and coffee maker if you need it first thing in the morning and don't want to go downstairs to the nearest Starbucks.
