From the superb long-playing traveling show ICE to the wildly successful La Cage starring that fountain of youth Frank Marino you will be well entertained. Other entertainment options include Barbra and Frank - a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand; the topless show Crazy Girls, hypnotic comedy with Dr. Scott Lewis and a Neil Diamond tribute. Try to offset the cost of these shows with your Riviera Club card.
The World's Fare Buffet is just a little bit under buffets like the Paris and the Aladdin now the Planet Hollywood. Make sure you try the omelets. Free passes and discount coupons are available. There are 2 choices for sit-down dining: Ristorante Italiano and Kristofer's Steak House. Kristofer's is a good choice for steaks and chops. Kristofer's has a nice retro look and feel about it. Kady's is their 24/7 coffee shop. Try the pancakes here.
Gamble here, use your Riviera Club card and get comped. Plenty of live gaming with roulette, craps, blackjack, etc. Minimum bets go up on the weekends. Lots of nickel play slots that can pay well. Look for video poker for full play by Game Maker. Sports Book and Poker room are better at the nearby Hilton with its 300 seats.
Rooms at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas are spacious and clean. Newest rooms are in the taller towers: Monaco and Monte Carlo. Less expensive rooms are in the shorter, older towers called San Remo and Mediterranean. Mediterranean rooms sit over the casino, so it's a short walk to the live gaming area. We recommend you book at least 6 months in advance, especially around holidays. We hear lots of stories from people who didn't book ahead and didn't get the room they wanted.
Riviera is located at the north end of the Strip, not downtown, but across from Circus Circus. To get around catch the bus that runs up and down the Strip called the Deuce. There's a stop right next to the hotel. The shuttle to and from the airport is provided by an outside company for a fee. To get to the Las Vegas Convention Center, it's a quick cab ride or walk a long block. Use the monorail from the Convention Center to get to the south end of the Strip with its hotels like the Bellagio, Caesar's Palace and the MGM Grand. For a great location and good value stay at Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
