Blue Martini Las Vegas is a very popular lounge and restaurant that was packed the day it opened and will probably remain busy till the day it closes. Blue Martini hails from Florida, with locations in Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and now, Las Vegas. It is located in "Town Square Shopping Mall." Mark Vasu, CEO, has a philosophy which probably reads great food + great drinks + great atmosphere = equals a great time. Yes, it really is that simple for some business owners. The devil is in the details.

Like many franchises, this particular bar is designed to have different areas of action, 3, in fact: outside, main room and back room. Within each area are rooms with islands of people sitting in their own groups at swirling tables, or tables for two. Everything is on high chairs, and everyone is at their own party. Blue Martini Las Vegas is nested so you can hold your event within their event. There is even a VIP room you can reserve for more privacy.

That is Blue Martini's mission statement: Bring your party to us, have your event with us, and we will make it fun, pleasant and affordable. That is until 8 pm. Up until 8 pm all prices are half off. Yes, a great martini can be had for half the price. That is quite a bit of difference. After happy hour I feel prices are a little unreal. Yet, the crowd stays on.

Let me say right off, I had some of the best food in Vegas right here at Blue Martini Las Vegas. When you order lamb chops they come out in 4's. They look a little small. But wait, taste them. Wow. Super-packed with flavor, marinated, cooked to perfection - these lamb chops will be the envy of other restaurants, and I only paid $7 for them.

The steak sandwich is just the thing to knock down a heady buzz from a Cadillac Margarita, which is tequila, Triple Sec, lime mix with a float of Grand Marnier on top. The burgundy drinker on my left had Whiskey Chicken. Again, 4 pieces of chicken, only on skewers. It was slightly charcoaled, spicy and meat perfectly tender inside. Yummy, thanks Mark. Both dishes came with a small cup of wild rice in the center, and sauces for dipping. The mint sauce for lamb chops would be the envy of even great restaurants here in Vegas. I haven't had this much fun since Pink Taco at Hard Rock Hotel, which has Cinco de Mayo every 5th of the month.

Round about 8:30 pm a band started playing. When we were there it was an electric-acoustic three piece band playing alternative rock music. People, entertainment and martini's are always fun at the fabulous Blue Martini Las Vegas.
