Venetian Las Vegas Poker
Room Review
The Venetian poker room is the best poker room in Las Vegas.
It opened April 4th 2006 and has gotten bigger and better ever since. Fast service,
plus 15-20 massage therapists roaming around giving $2 a minute back massages
while you play, coupled with 10-15 representatives from 2-3 different restaurants
within the Venetian taking food orders for meals delivered right to your table
help make this a casino within a casino that I never want to leave. Sweet seating,
little to no indication of cigarette smoke, high ceilings, clean tables, competent
staff. I really have no complaints at all about this joint. My wife even
drops me off sometimes and when she gets back crashes in the exclusive comfortable
free lounge within the poker room to accommodate those wanting a break. She curls
up on the couch and reads a book and even gets cocktails delivered here too. I
have seen many celebrities like Doyle Brunsons son Todd Brunson and the IceMan
playing here in the high stakes room. The tournaments have gotten so big and frequent
they now host 2 different tournament simultaneously sometimes like the Venetian
Deep Stack and the Venetian Second Chance. Deep stack Tournaments are $200 to
$550 buyins and the Second Chance buyin is typically less than $120 total. Free
drinks table side are delivered quickly and they even offer premium liquors and
many specialty drinks frozen and blended. I hate it when a billion dollar casino
cant afford to run a blender. No problem here. Leather seating, butler service,
complementary valet 100 feet from the room are nice as well. This room is huge
too at 11,000+ square feet and includes 40+ tables plus new ones being added in
December 2008 to accommodate the larger tournament games. They also have 23+ large
screen plasma televisions. I thought there was a good mix of beginners
like me and the more serious money takers here at the Venetian and though I have
been playing only a few months did not feel like those playing here were overly
predatory. Refer to my poker
room phone number list to check on the tournament schedules, buyins, table
conditions and games offered from one day to the next. The Venetian offers
$1 comp per hour to be used towards food within the Venetian so make sure and
get a players card, clock in and clock out. If you forget to clock out then all
the hours you played are NOT recorded.
I have never waited more than 7 minutes for a 1-1 no limit or 2-5 no
limit seat. There are so many tables you can wander around find the seat
you want, note the table number and go ask for it. This works when you
spot drunks or fish just waiting to blow dough. You will not be disappointed
here at the Venetian Las Vegas Poker Room.
