Bali Hai Golf Club
Bali
Hai Golf Club is pure escape from the casinos. Walk out the casino and you
can be on this golfer-friendly course in 5 minutes. Other courses can takes 60 to
90 minutes to get to. There are only 2 golf courses on the Strip. The other one is
the The Wynn Golf Course at the Wynn
Casino. You just can’t beat golfing on the Strip for convenience. Bali
Hai sits at the south end of the Strip. It is close to McCarran
International Airport”, and the I-15 and the I-215. Bali Hai is also near
Mandalay Bay Casino, Luxor
Casino and South Point Casino. It
has been designed as an epic proportion get away. Their motto is "you deserve
it." Paradise at Bali Hai Golf Club comes in the form of water, trees,
plants and rocks. There is a whopping 7 acres of water, 100,000 tropical plants and
4,000 trees. Over half the trees are towering palm trees – Wow! $60 million
dollars was spent on this course. Want more drama? Try white sands offset with jet-black
outcroppings of volcanic rocks as you play through this paradise, literally on the
Strip. This championship golf course will test every skill you possess. It
was voted one of the top 40 resort courses by GolfWeek Magazine, and it was also voted
best golf course by VegasGolfer Magazine. If you have not read VegasGolfer Magazine,
I highly recommend you subscribe and never miss another great golfing moment in Vegas.
You will also learn about every upcoming Las
Vegas golf tournament. I don’t know about you, but I plan my trips around
golf! Ok, you played 2 holes at Bali Hai, and you’re thinking this is
too easy. The first 2 holes will loosen you up. From there, the difficulty only builds;
the drama and the thrills only go up from there. At hole-3 you will get a taste of
what’s to come. I leave it to you to discover why it’s called Shipwreck.
“It will test you, but it won’t beat you to death,” they say of
this course built by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley in 2000. Bali Hai is a par-71
course, over 7,000 yards long that has incredible views of mega-resorts. By the time
you get to hole-16, the dramatic island green surrounded by deep blue water, you’ll
be thinking of food. And if you don’t smell the good cooking, note that the
clubhouse’s top notch restaurant, Cili, is nearby. When it’s time
to eat you have 2 choices. The Cabana serves up beverages, sandwiches and snacks.
My choice is Cili’s Restaurant & Bar at Bali Hai Golf Club. The view is
phenomenal! Cili’s is a Balinese restaurant that serves contemporary
American cuisine with Asian influences. “Cili” is actually Balinese for
health, prosperity and good fortune. This is a non-gaming, non-smoking restaurant
that serves only lunch 7 days a week. But it’s an extended lunch, till 3pm.
And Cili’s is well-known throughout the “Vegas community” as a spot
to “power lunch”. Power golf, power lunch, these guys do it right. Cili’s
is truly a triple threat – weddings, banquets, catering. Many a grand wedding
is held at Cili’s, which can accommodate 500 guest and 225 diners. There are
5 separate areas to choose from. The most intimate room is the dining room which can
accommodate 140 diners, and overlooks the superb island green of hole-16. Bali Hai
likes to sell out their whole restaurant to their guests. Want a great price –
just ask! Don’t forget to visit Bali Hai’s golf shop before you
leave. The golf shop is recognized as one of the top 100 golf shops in America for
the last 5 years by GolfWorld Business Magazine. You can get gifts, apparel and top-notch
golfing gear. Best of all, golfers need never lack a reason or a time to come
to Las Vegas, as tournaments are held all year around. So, go ahead, plan your trip
to Vegas around golf! When you want to golf and never leave the Strip, go to Bali
Hai Golf Club.
