Bali Hai Golf Las Vegas
Bali
Hai Golf Las Vegas is pure escape from the hustle bustle of the casino floor.
It is one of only 2 golf courses located on the Strip. Bali Hai sits at the south
end of the Strip. While the only other golf
course on the Strip”, the Wynn Golf Course
at the Wynn, sits at the north end of the Strip. Bali Hai is a championship
golf course. And it has been designed as a get away place of epic proportions.
Their motto is you deserve it. Paradise at Bali Hai Golf Club comes in the form
of water, trees, plants and rocks. There is a whopping 7 acres of water, 100,000 tropical
plants and 4,000 trees. 2,500 of the trees are towering palm trees. $60 million dollars
went into this course. Adding to the drama are white sands bunkers offset with jet-black
outcroppings of volcanic rocks as you play through this paradise at the Strip. This
championship golf course will test every skill you possess. It was voted one of the
top 40 resort courses by GolfWeek Magazine. It was also voted best golf course by
VegasGolfer Magazine. If you have not read VegasGolfer Magazine, I highly recommend
you subscribe so that you never miss another great golfing moment in Vegas. You will
also learn about every upcoming Las Vegas
golf tournament. Plan your next trip to Vegas around golf. Bali Hai’s
deception is that it’s an easy course. The first 2 holes will loosen you up.
From there, the difficulty only builds, the drama and the thrills continue rising
to surprise you. At hole-3 you will get a taste of what’s to come. I leave it
to you to discover why it’s called Shipwreck. “It will test you, but it
won’t beat you to death,” they say of this course built by Lee Schmidt
and Brian Curley in 2000. Bali Hai is a par-71 course, over 7,000 yards long
that has incredible views of “Mandalay Bay”, and other mega-resorts. By
the time you get to hole-16, the dramatic island green surrounded by deep blue water,
you’ll be thinking of food. And if you don’t smell the good cooking, note
that the clubhouse’s top notch restaurant, Cili’s is nearby. Bali Hai
recommends you use one of their rofessional caddies. That way a foursome can finish
in under 4 hours. When it’s time to eat you have 2 choices. The Cabana
serves up beverages, sandwiches and snacks. My choice, though, is Cili’s Restaurant
& Bar at Bali Hai Golf Club, with its view of golfers struggling to hit land on
the 16th hole, it’s both good food and entertainment. Cili’s is a Balinese
restaurant that serves contemporary American cuisine with Asian influences. “Cili”
is an actually Balinese word that stands for health, prosperity and good fortune.
This is a non-gaming, non-smoking restaurant that serves only lunch 7 days a week.
But it’s an extended lunch, till 3pm. And Cili’s is well-known throughout
the “Vegas community” as a spot to power lunch. Power golf, power lunch”,
these guys do it right. Catering is available too; if you want to bring it home with
you, or back to the office. Cili’s is truly a triple threat – weddings,
banquets, catering. Many a grand wedding is held at Cili’s, which can accommodate
500 guest and 225 diners. There are 5 separate areas to choose from. The most intimate
room is the dining room which can accommodate 140 diners, and overlooks the superb
island green of hole-16. Bali Hai likes to sell out their whole restaurant to their
guests. So just ask, and they will give you a great price. Don’t forget
gift items, apparel or equipment, visit Bali Hai’s golf shop before you leave.
The golf shop is recognized as one of the top 100 golf shops in America for the last
5 years by GolfWorld Business Magazine. It is pure, high-octane boutique shopping
for male and female. Don’t want to buy – then rent Callaway
Clubs and FootJoy shoes onsite. Bali Hai is close to McCarran
International Airport, and the I-15 and the I-215. Best of all, golfers need never
lack a reason or a time to come to Las Vegas, as tournaments are held all year around.
So go ahead, plan your trip to Vegas around golf! If you want to golf and never leave
the Strip, then golf at Bali Hai Golf Las Vegas.
