To create a better experience Jack Nicklaus chose holes from his courses which are similar in terrain.

Nicklaus actually had to get permission to re-create the holes from the golf courses he designed. The holes are not replicas but remakes to fit the terrain of Vegas. The shot values are the same between the replicated hole and the original one. Nicklaus took designs from his 250 signature courses that stretch from Montana to Spain to make Bear's Best.

The black sand in the photo can only be seen on Bear's Best Golf Course in Las Vegas. Jack Nicklaus is copying his own design from 'Old Works' in Montana on this course which is a compilation of best holes from Jack Nicklaus gold courses.
