Insider Secret - The best deals on golf packages for your vacation will be in the summer, when prices can be a 1/3 of fall and spring prices. |
Stay and Play packages are the most common Las Vegas golf vacation. They are usually packaged for 3 days, 2 nights with 2 rounds of golf. That's why they are called Stay and Plays; you stay in their casino and golf at two of their golf courses or affiliate courses. The very best time of year to get a deal is the summer, when the prices are at their lowest. The next best time is winter. Winter can be a beautiful 60 degrees and sunny for golfing here. Fall and spring are our busy golfing times in Vegas. If you are a discount golfer, look for deals in mid-week, or before 8 a.m., or after 1 p.m.
Golf Only is another type of package for your Las Vegas golf vacation. It is usually based on one person playing 2 rounds of golf. Though the packages are called 2 rounds of golf, they are for one person only. Check for other restrictions; tee times for packages might mean before 8 a.m. Check whether it is weekday or weekend restricted, or what they mean by mid-week - is that Sunday through Thursday? When you know what you are buying you will not experience any unpleasant surprises and have a better time. Make sure you ask for and get all the details.
You should be aware of certain restrictions on your golf package. Most packages have to be purchased 10 days before play date and must be cancelled 30 days in advance. That makes planning crucial, in both buying and anticipating any problems in advance, in the event you need a refund. The fine print usually says that these discounts can not be used with any other discounts. Make sure you read everything.
Stay and Plays should have more flexibility than Golf Only. They should not have restricted tee times or restricted days of the week. Also, if you want to stay longer and play more rounds, you should be able to add these onto your Las Vegas golf package. Make sure you see what the details are in writing, as phone calls can be confusing.
Come to Vegas and play in a golf tournament. There are hundreds of tournaments from celebrity to celebratory held here now. Transatlantic team challenges as well as celebrity hosted PGA tournaments every year take place at Cascata, Shadow Creek, Wynn's and Bear's Best to name a few courses. Justin Timberlake hosted the PGA Tournament in 2007 raising money for Shriners Hospitals. There are even poker and golf tournaments held in the past by companies like Walters Golf at "Bali Hai Golf Course." Book now and make your next vacation a Las Vegas golf vacation.
