Aladdin Hotel In Las Vegas Nevada
Aladdin
Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada has had a history of changes, remodeling, bankruptcies
and closings. As a matter of fact when it first opened in 1963 it was known as the
"Vegas Jinx." Now the Sheraton Resort has come to its rescue, remodeled
it one more time and changed the casino name to Planet Hollywood. Renovations began
in 2006 and the grand reopening celebration will be November 16, 2007. During
the recent renovations, the hotel managed to stay open as usual. Only in Vegas can
a mega renovation take place without any disturbance to hotel guests. How they do
it is construction magic. Sheraton Resort infused a cool $120 million into the make-over.
The Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada is definitely more contemporary and looks like
a cross between the Hard Rock Casino and Vegas glitz. Neon rules. The 100,000
square foot casino has the feel of a huge nightclub. The textured walls and crystal
chandeliers glow and change neon colors from green, purple, red and blue. Behind the
front desk, you will be mesmerized by the changing wall colors and smooth curving
counter top. The new look is attracting the 21-35 year old set who are coming to the
casino for the new bars, new shows and the gambling of course. The Aladdin has
catered to many celebrity events in its past. Elvis and Priscilla got married there
in 1967. It's been featured in movies like The Cooler and Going in Style. The Miss
America pageant was held at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada in both 2006 and
2007. From time to time, A&E Network features the Criss Angel Mindfreak show at
the hotel. Entertainers like Prince, Kelly Clarkson and Nine Inch Nails have performed
in concert at the Aladdin. The Heart Bar is one of the latest additions. You
can find it on the first floor right in the middle of the gaming area. With sexy black
leather go-go outfits on the waitresses and a 360 view of the casino, it's ideal for
people watching and customized martinis. Check out the Mezzanine level with a brand
new showroom featuring a high-energy drumming and dancing show, Stomp Out Loud. On
this level, you'll also find the London Club, an exclusive European styled gaming
salon offering 30 table games. Next to it is a lounge and garden club where many parties
are held and with a sensational view of the Strip. Private dining rooms are available
in the Club's five star restaurant. It boasts the largest gaming token ever issued
in Nevada of $10 million. The rooms haven't had much overhaul. The plumbing
is still a little loud and the hotel doesn't provide coffee makers in the rooms. But
the suites are large with deep soaking tubs in marble bathrooms. Make sure when you
drive in that you use Valet parking. From the self-parking, you have to lug your suitcases
through the long and winding Miracle Mile (hint its name) shopping mall, check in
at the front desk and walk all the way through the casino to get to your room. It's
a long haul. Use Valet and porters, you'll enjoy the start of your stay in Vegas a
lot more at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada.
