Artisan Hotel Las Vegas is a small boutique hotel off the Strip that is very popular with locals. While the hotel's exterior is painted in a stark white with black trim and shutters, the interior is a romantic getaway, filled with hundreds of paintings, prints and sculptures. Artwork is everywhere, on the walls, ceilings, in the lounge, café, lobby and even the hallways. The hotel gets its name from the reproductions of well-known artists like Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Mondrian and Klimt. It definitely has that Paris turn of the century feel.

It is situated west of the Strip near Sahara and the I-15. From McCarran International Airport you can stay on the side roads like Russell and Paradise if you want to avoid the freeway. Taking a cab east towards the Strip will take you to the Sahara Hotel and the Stratosphere. From the Sahara, you can catch the monorail and make stops at the Hilton, the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Westin, Harrah's, the Paris and the MGM Grand.

Thursday through Saturday nights, live bands or DJs spin the tunes until 1 am in the Lounge. It's an intimate place to meet friends or have a birthday party.
