Luxor Hotel Las Vegas
Luxor
Hotel Las Vegas is a landmark casino on the Vegas Strip. Shaped like a black glass
pyramid, walking into the hotel simulates what it could be like walking into one of
those huge Egyptian tombs along the Nile River. With the largest beam in the world
emanating from its triangular peak, this hotel can be seen for miles. A unique
hotel located at the south end of the Strip between the Excalibur and Mandalay Bay, it's only 3.5 miles from McCarran
International Airport. But because it's toward the end of the Strip, you will
need to take a cab if you want to visit the Bellagio,
Caesar's Palace or the Paris. The
pyramid rooms at the Luxor Hotel Las Vegas are a little tired. The price is right
but I hear too many people complain that the rooms aren't clean, they smell musty
or they are in need of repair. New towels need to be ordered and maid service could
be more consistent. The service personnel could be friendlier. Lines for checking
in are usually quite long. The windows are slanted to the shape of the pyramid so
it's not easy to look down if you want to look out on the Strip or pools. But the
elevators go sideways which is a different experience. The tower rooms I hear are
more comfortable, more modern and I would recommend these. Pool area is awesome
but check for times, they are seasonal. Whirlpools and five large pools are heated
year-around. Cabanas are available with all the amenities like refrigerators, mister
system, TV, pool rafts, dining table and food and beverage service. For an adult only
experience, check out Restore - an oasis that offers chilled towels and alcohol popsicles.
At the Luxor Hotel Las Vegas, there are many ways to satisfy your hunger. You'll
find at least eight restaurants or diners, the buffet, a food court and room service
as well. Fusia has Chinese/Pan-Asian cuisine with a large bar area for specialty drinks.
Very popular. If you want comfort and atmosphere while you're dining, go to Company
American Bistro. You'll find large leather chairs and couches and aspen trees around
a fireside lounge. There are certain attractions at the Luxor that you won't
find at any other hotel. The King Tut Museum, for instance is a stunning reproduction
of the 1922 discovery of King Tut's treasures. Take the 15 minute audio tour. Open
7 days a week from 10am to 11pm. It's a romantic spot for Las
Vegas honeymoons. For family entertainment, visit their IMAX Theatre featuring
a 7-story screen and digital sound. Carrot Top is an over-the-top comedian
at the Luxor. You just never know what he's going to say or do next. He loves props
and crazy inventions. Fantasy is a sexually charged topless revue with beautiful girls
who sing, dance and spice it up with a touch of comedy. If you want to put the romance
back into your relationship, check out the Luxor Hotel Las Vegas.
