Insider Secret - If you're from another country, always carry your passport. If your room key should stop working, you have to show ID and if it's stashed away in your room safe, security can be tough on you. |
I always recommend the free Valet parking if you're driving in for the first time. Even though the self-park garage is convenient and not too far from the registration desk, you still have to carry or roll suitcases partly through the casino. Might as well make your Vegas trip as hassle-free as you can.
The registration desk is one of the most beautiful ones I have seen yet. It's ornate in the style of Louis XIV with champagne colors and beautiful chandeliers. In general, the staff is friendly but some days I hear they could be more polite. The ticket office is located directly across from the check-in desk if you need to pick up your theater tickets.
The public bathrooms are gorgeous, in the same style with individual hand-painted sinks and lovely period paintings on the walls. I was surprised the public bathrooms at the Wynn were not more beautiful considering the incredible attention spent on detail there.

At the Paris Hotel Las Vegas, just like at the Luxor, always ask for a renovated room. Tipping the desk clerk can help. There are four types of accommodation to select from. The Luxury Guest Room, the Premium Guest Room, the Suite Lemans and the Suite Calais. Always ask for a view of the Strip so you can enjoy the Bellagio fountains and the incredible City of Lights.
All rooms have high speed Internet access for a fee, hair dryers and room safes are free. Most hotels charge for using the safe. And at the Hilton you have to ask for a hair dryer. The décor is European with warm colors and lush fabrics. The suites have additional seating areas with the Suite Calais being 935 square feet. It is large with a parlor, his and her bathrooms, a view of the Strip that's guaranteed and even a fax machine.
Keeping with the French theme, the Paris Hotel Las Vegas has very good places to eat. Mon Ami Gabi is excellent and always crowded so be sure to make a reservation. In the warm months, order a table on the outdoor terrace (feels like you're in Paris, France) and enjoy the spectacular fountains of the Bellagio across the street. For breakfast, I recommend real French crepes at La Creperie. Mouth-watering. Le Café Île St. Louis is inexpensive, open 24 hours and serves hearty food.
Of course, if you haven't tried Le Village Buffet, you're in for a treat. It is set up with appetizing foods from five different provinces of France. They serve traditional French dishes like escargots, ratatouille and roast duck, only at the Paris Hotel Las Vegas.
