Venetian Hotel Las Vegas
The
Venetian is huge with over 3,000 suites in the original tower and over 1,000 Venezia
tower suites. The rich stay here from countries all over the world. Young glamorous
Hollywood groups of party centric revelers race to the Tao nightclub for top notch
nightlife. The architecture, the paintings, the look and feel of everything from
the bathroom fixtures to the restaurants, the shows and casino floor are all first
class, upscale, beautiful and worth seeing whether you stay here or not. Gondola
rides shown here in this Venetian Las Vegas picture are among the many fun and
often glamorous activities to be had here.
Styled after the city of
Venice Venetian has an Italian class that puts you THERE: as close as you'll ever
come to visiting the real Venice. Bring your camera because the photo opps abound,
you will need at least 2 hours just to take in the outside facade, a meal, and
some pictures. Add as many hours as you can stand to shop one of the finest upscale
shopping areas in Vegas - the Grand Canal Shoppes with over half a million square
feet of upscale retail. Unique in that you can ride in a gondolas piloted by a
singing artisan as you site see yourself and friends into romance. Typical
hotel rooms don't exist here having been replaced by at least 700 square feet
of suite instead. Big bathrooms, completely modern and gorgeously plush amenities
abound, though I do like the linens and bed toppers at Red
Rock better. For true luxury and pampering stay in the Venezia Tower. You
have your own check-in and your own entrance. Skip the large crowds checking in.
Some of the suites have their own terrace overlooking private pools, hot tubs
and gardens. It's the ultimate in privacy and relaxation here on the strip for
many.

A lovely picture we took at night of the Venetian Hotel. The gondolas are floating
in the canal at the front of the hotel. You can also take gondola rides inside
of the Grand Canal Shoppes.
Overall the Venetian in Vegas is without
direct parallel anywhere in the United States. It stand alone. It is dreamy and
wonderful and worth visiting more than once. I highly recommend it for those not
on a strict budget. Overview: Stunning, beautiful strip property
well managed and glamorous Location: Central Las Vegas Strip Restaurants:
my favorite is the Grand Lux Café which is a hipper even grander version
of the massive menu touting Cheesecake Factory. It is easy to have a great meal
here with any size group affordably. Both Wolfgang Puck and Emeril set up 5 star
restaurants here, the buffet is delicious but pricey, plus at least 20 other choices
for food first class Nightclubs, Lounges: Tao is gigantic, with huge
sound and a long waiting list on weekend nights and special events of which there
are many Casino: 130,000 square feet, including Blackjack, Craps, Keno,
Let It Ride, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Poker, Roulette, more than 2,600 slot machines,
and clean popular upscale feeling poker room, race & sports book has seating
for 92 people with 30 TV's Entertainment: Phantom The Las Vegas Spectacular
show is a huge glamorous performance, and the long running Blue Man Group show
is popular with the rowdier crowd Extras: Madame
Tussauds wax museum, Guggenheim Hermitage Museum Pools: acres of
pool complex with 4 pools and 4 hot tubs between the two resorts. When I was there
they kept the Venezia pool heated right through the cold season which was spectacular.
Only a few Vegas hotels do that. Health Club or Spa: the Canyon Ranch
is gigantic as far as spas go and worth spending an entire day in if you can afford
it, the 20,000+ square foot fitness center gym has a big rock climbing wall and
tons of first class equipment, salon is upscale, expensive and staffed with real
talent Shopping: nearly 100 upscale shops, restaurants, and exclusive
retail venues to choose from in a quiet, cool atmosphere. Wedding chapel:
numerous packages. Childcare facilities: None Pets allowed:
No Parking garage: massive 10 story free indoor parking garage plus
extremely limited outdoor parking for oversized vehicles in an adjacent lot. Use
valet in this case it is almost stupid not to. Shuttle service to the airport:
back and forth to the airport by a private company, better to take a cab unless
you are real short on cash. Shuttle service to Strip: Venetian is ON
the strip, no shuttle needed Hotel amenities: Typical plus walk right
to the Sands Expo Center using a custom underground tunnel, concierge, valet parking,
salon, currency exchange, laundry, luggage handling, electronic check-out, onsite
