Las Vegas Golf
Las
Vegas Golf has become one of the major reasons people visit Las
Vegas, Nevada each year. Over a million visitors play yearly at one
of the Las Vegas golf courses listed here. This means it is very crowded most of the
time on many of the courses. Friends come in all the time, they don't take my advice,
and think they will just show up and get some tee time. I hear the sob stories and
complaints all the time. They actually did not get to play at all. Realize that
18 of the 75 largest Las Vegas golf courses are private. So availability can be problem.
Reservations are of utmost importance if you are serious about golf being a major
part of your vacation. Plan now; and enjoy these fine Las Vegas golf courses without
a problem. Each part of Las Vegas valley has at least one major golf course.
The most well known courses are the most crowded but can still be worth it for those
who want a spectacular experience in the desert. Parking is often an issue in the
fanciest places. Keep that in mind when packing your 60 lbs of wood and iron. I suggest
using valet whenever possible especially when short on time. Golf
Tournaments are the absolute crème de la crème of Las Vegas sporting
events for those in game. Whenever possible try to get in one. Wrap your entire vacation
around a fine golf tournament, then wine, dine and gamble all night long. You'll never
forget it. Be careful though as the desert heat and dryness will crack your
face, burn your lips, sunburn your skull, and make your otherwise pleasant, impress
the ladies evening, somewhat less than sexy. Everybody underestimates the climate.
My nose bled inside for the first ten days I was here. Don't underestimate the
costs associated at some of the pricier golf clubs. The Wynn
Golf Club for instance often charges $500 per green fee. During the busy season
or on weekends the other golf clubs will often charge the same. The Paiute
Golf Resort, the Bali Hai Golf Club,
and the Callaway Golf Center
are worth looking into. We can get you in cheaper though; check out some of the resources
on this page if money is an issue. There are special places that few know of
or ever get the chance to play on. For instance, Shadow
Creek in North Las Vegas, owned by Wynn, is available for select Wynn
Casino gamblers and insider celebrities. But then again there are some serious
bargains here as well if you know where to look. See all our resource links on the
right side of this page for specific issues pertaining to Las Vegas Golf.
