Vegas
ProphetAll my life I have been able to see into the future every once
in a while and know things will happen before they do, before others do, before
it is to be believed. I have rarely been able to put these insights to work helping
me make money, but it is fun to explore and nurture these instincts in my personal
life. I have seen and stopped many troubles before they broke me. It is also fun
to write the predictions down and see them come to fruition. That way people can't
say "you never said that" when in fact you predicted it years in advance.
If you have similar abilities write it down. If it pertains to Vegas email
me so we can discuss as I am quite interested in this city, what it means
for so many, and how it has changed lives in extraordinary ways. | | |
Jason's
PREDICTION November 2006 - Casino hotels in Las Vegas will begin to
open up their pools and create mega outdoor clubs. Not just occasional parties
but entire independent megaclubs held outdoors during the warm months, complete
with headliners and celebrity appearances, deluxe lounge chair drink service including
restaurant quality food delivered all day right to your poolside bed, cabana rentals
that last into the night, where you can actually rent one all night long and sleep
outside. Once perfected in America's playground, club & hotel owners all over
the world will travel here, copy it, and spread it over the globe. WHY
will this happen? Casinos have an ever increasing appetite for money. Vegas
clubs make more money per square foot than even the core business of gambling.
The pools are in place, all they have to do is add the super model level staff.
Then change the rules for entry allowing anyone in that is willing to pay a cover
charge regardless of whether they are staying in the hotel or not. People grow
tired of the traditional mega nightclub scene, all dressed up and uncomfortable,
high heels, can't see a thing due to the crowds, can't hear anyone speak due to
the music volume, and after a while sweaty strangers are backed up to you on all
sides. Yuk! Nobody wants to wait all day to start partying at 11:30 at night.
Pool Clubs are a great replacement. Did it come to pass? With the opening
of MGM Grands Wet Republic we are one step closer to seeing my entire prediction
come true. Time will tell if they can pull it off. All of Vegas watch's because
if it works in its entirety things will pick up speed and every casino hotel in
town will follow with better and better versions of it. Green
Valley and Red Rock already
have versions of ultra pools but they are a little more family oriented and less
clubbish. Hard Rock's Rehab is now known all over the world as the biggest, baddest,
wildest pool party. When they first started club executives snickered. Now it
is one of the highest grossing venues in Vegas during the summer months. Jason's
PREDICTION January 2007 - The strip will continue to be built up until
it is solid world class entertainment and residences from Southpoint Casino on
the California side all the way past downtown. It will triple in length and cause
major havoc for the Las Vegas airport system located within 2 miles. WHY
will this happen? People like to be where the action is and nowhere is it
more apparent than in Las Vegas where strip property is the most expensive inland
property in the world. Big money is here and it is here to stay due to major influxes
from California and Arizona. Did it come to pass? The sky is filled
with cranes and the work to become Manhattanized is beginning. The construction
of new skyscrapers is unbelievable, and the list of new projects so long, it doesn't
even make sense to list it here. Time will tell. Jason's
PREDICTION June 2007 - Nevada casinos will enact no-smoking laws on
the main floors where table games are played. They may keep the slot area smoke
ready but the restriction's are coming. WHY will this happen? People
are sick and tired of smoke, bad health, cancer, and the intrusion of one persons
bad habit on others, especially workers within the casinos. Did it come
to pass? In 2008 Atlantic City implemented such rules. I am just waiting to
see Vegas do the same. Jason's PREDICTION January
2008 - A bullet train route will be implemented from California to
Las Vegas. WHY will this happen? Traffic congestion, fuel and energy
savings, lower dependancy on foreign oil. Did it come to pass? Of all
my predictions this one will take the longest to come to pass. Jason's
PREDICTION March 2008 - Clark County will legalize prostitution. It
is currently illegal in Las Vegas. WHY will this happen? Many people
find it stupid to jail consenting adults for trading sex for money and putting
a drain on our legal and judicail system meantime. The health risks associated
with unlicensed illegal prostitutes in Las Vegas are a grave concern. The amount
of tax revenue the state is giving up is huge and eventually the money pressures
will dominate the forces stopping this legislature from passing. Did it
come to pass? not yet. Jason's PREDICTION April
2008 - Sahara Casino will be closed, sold or rebuilt. WHY will
this happen? Anytime a casino resorts to the OLD way of doing business; which
is using super low priced buffet meals to get people on the gambling floor it
is a sign they are in financial distress. The new way of doing business in Vegas
is every venue within the walls must make enough money to support itself PLUS
give the casino money directly. That means every restaurant, club, show, retail
shop, etc must make money as a stand alone buiness. Did it come to pass?
not yet. Jason's PREDICTION September 2008
- Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will close, be sold or bankrupt. WHY will this
happen? due to financial failure Did it come to pass? not yet. Jason's
PREDICTION October 2008 - the Palazzo Venetian combo mother company
will bankrupt. WHY will this happen? financial failure from risky highend
specialty loans and financing schemes. Did it come to pass? not yet. Jason's
PREDICTION December 2008 - Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino will close,
be sold or bankrupt. WHY will this happen? financial failure due to
and poor management, lack of interest, age and cash flow issues Did it come
to pass? not yet.
