The show attracts top leaders, CEOs and speakers from around the world. Bill Gates from Microsoft, Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Comcast Corp., Kevin Martin, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, have been keynote speakers at the trade show. Celebrities like Yoko Ono, actors Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner and David Ortiz from the world champion Boston Red Sox have made appearances at specific booths.
Besides the exhibits at the trade show, super sessions for International issues are also scheduled, awards are given and world class keynote speakers are part of the action at CES. This Las Vegas Electronics Show also hosts the Emmy Awards for Technology and Engineering. Two areas are given awards, namely Science & Technology for Television - satellite, cable and broadcast distribution and Advanced Media Technology - gaming technology, interactive television, and the Internet, personal media players, private networks and cell phones.
